what does the word peace mean to you?

When I hear the word peace, I think of peace treaties that governments make for the “better.” Peace is supposed to be something for the better of the world, the citizens, but it usually ends up being something bad or chaotic. But peace doesn’t have to end up being something bad, it can be your own state of mind at ease. This state of mind can take to a whole new dimension and take you away from all of your surroundings.

  1. I agree with peace taking you to a whole new dimension, I also think that peace is something that we all need to look for because only being at peace we can be truly happy and let our frustrations go away.

  2. I agree with the definition that you gave peace, I think that's what most people think but it's funny because most of those governments are always at war.. haha, I guess that's how they think we need to get peace.

  3. I agree with the beatles they have awesome music ha ha ha just kidding. Well there is much caos around the world no matter what. No one in the world with anyone people love fighting too much that they will never think of being at peace with anyone. Violence has taken control of people because they like the adrenelin in their system. Maybe there will be one day of non-violence and more peace but well see when that day comes.

  4. I completely agree, peace doesn't necessarily have to be in the form of a document or physical object, but in our mind. As we day-dream or even sleep, we have those visions in our mind where were able to find comfort and solitude before we awaken to the real world.

  5. I like the optimistic theme in your post, but I have to disagree. I made the point that there never really is peace. There's always something to worry about or something that creates conflict in ourselves, in others, or in humanity.

  6. I love what you said about how peace can be your own state of mind at ease, that is so true. Peace can be when your mostly relaxed by yourself, but i just thought about this what if someone's mind as ease is when they are hurting another? thats not very peaceful, but i like what you consider peace.

  7. I liked how you give a totally different aspect of the word peace, I've never think about this but I totally agree with you and I think that it could be a very differently description of what the word peace can actually mean.

  8. i like your argument of peace and i have a question for you. How would you define peace with out the contrast of chaos. Would peace still exist?

  9. You’re the first person that when they think about peace they think about history. That would never come to mine to me that is good and I agree with you.

  10. I agree with how you said the word peace makes you think it will make the world better, but sometimes we take it for granted and not know what we have out there. For example, here in the United Sates since we have a feedom of speech we have better peace then those countries that don't. It just makes the world a better place to have peace and some of us just don't know it.

  13. Peace can either create a big change in the world or a subtle in our own state of minds. Maybe someone can make peace without even knowing their making a change...making their mind not aware of the results of their actions... Peace involves everything..heart, mind and soul, wanting to make a difference in peoples lives and world. In other words i agree with your post :)) lol

  14. That's a nice way to see peace, except not all minds can be at a state of peace or of ease.

  15. You are right, peace doesn't have to be chaotic or mean something bad. Its all in how we percieve peace and how we strive to achieve it.

  17. I agree with you int that peace doesn't always have to be destructive. Peace is something that is different for everyone and what matters is how we see it and what we are willing to do to have peace in our lives.

  18. Peace has a whole lot of perspective. This is what we want when it comes to peace but sometimes it never goes that way due to something bad going on.

  19. personally I don't think of the government as a character of peace, but I agree that peace can be only our state of mind and that we control it, we can have peace where ever we go if we want to.
